Biography
Jay and his wife Diane are the founders of Canna Advisors, a cannabis enterprise consulting firm which has spent the last two years advising clients through the competitive state application process for cannabis business licenses. Canna Advisors has earned one of the best track records in the industry, winning licenses in every state where they’ve consulted. Their national perspective on the evolution of the industry and experience as operators makes them uniquely qualified to design, build, and manage operations for their clients as new states come to market.
Jay’s experience as a licensed commercial general contractor and real estate developer has been invaluable to his success in the cannabis industry. When he and his wife Diane founded Boulder Kind Care (BKC) in 2009, they were able to construct, modify, and continually improve their dispensary and cultivation facility, meeting new regulations and improving their patients’ experience. Most of Jay’s focus has centered on cultivation: facility design, construction, and operations. It was Jay’s vision and experience that allowed BKC to produce 100% of the pharmaceutical-grade cannabis which they offered their patients. He is a founding member of the National Cannabis Industry Association, a lifetime member of the ArcView Investment Group and a mentor for Canopy Boulder. Jay is a graduate of Norwich University with a B.S. in electrical engineering.
