Biography

Fiona Ma is a Board Member of the California State Board of Equalization (SBOE) from the District 2 Seat that represents approx 10 million people from the Oregon Border to Santa Barbara in 23 counties: Del Norte, Humboldt, Trinity, Mendocino, Lake, Tehama, Glenn, Colusa, Sonoma, Napa, Yolo, Solano, Marin, Contra Costa, Alameda, SF, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, San Benito, Monterey, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara.

Fiona Ma was first elected to represent the people of California’s 12th Assembly District from November 2006 to November 2012 (after serving the maximum of three terms.) She was the #112th woman to ever be elected to the California Legislature and the first Asian woman to ever serve as Speaker pro Tempore since 1850.
