John Downs

John Downs’ entrepreneurial career in finance and business development has spanned multiple industries including film, wealth management, real estate, and alternative capital markets. Prior to joining the cannabis industry, he most recently structured an asset-backed film fund and assisted in the restructuring of entertainment market research firm C4 Research & Development.

Previously, Mr. Downs was Senior Vice President at Euro Pacific Capital, Inc.(EPC), where he focused on foreign securities and alternative asset investments. At EPC Mr. Downs participated in 25+ corporate finance transactions totaling nearly $300m, with a focus on small-cap and emerging growth issuers. Concurrently, he advised on private client investment portfolios with assets totaling over $120m. Before joining EPC, he founded and operated a multi-state mortgage brokerage, Affiliated Wholesale Lending, funding over $300m in loans in less than 18 months.

Mr. Downs graduated from the University of California at Davis with a BA in History and Political Science. He was named to the I-AA Independent All-Star second team as a defensive lineman his senior year, helping Davis to their NCAA record 34th consecutive winning season.
