Biography
Eva Silva is an award-winning Writer, Producer, published Author, Actress/Model, and Agricultural Hemp proponent. Working on both sides of the camera for her entire career, she has followed her passion, creating compelling work in multimedia environments. Always drawn to projects with potential to affect lives on a Global scale, Eva found her niche in the Hemp world and the like-minds that inhabit it.
Having discovered the value of Hemp years ago, Eva started as a blogger for a Hemp site. In 2014, she co-founded Hemp Solutions, a company that follows the Social Entrepreneurship Business Model and is on a mission to improve the Environment by producing high-quality, Renewable Innovations, while educating, encouraging, and facilitating the use of Hemp-based sustainable resources.
Also in late 2014, Eva joined the Thunderbird Productions team as Co-Producer and On-Camera Interviewer for the Hempsters Documentary Film Series. The multi award winning debut film ‘Hempsters Plant the Seed’ (the first film in the five part series ) was released via DVD and Cinema Libre Studios, and in 2011 via Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, iTunes, and Free Speech TV. ‘Hempsters Plant the Seed’ chronicles the early struggles to legalize Industrial Hemp and stars Activist/Actor Woody Harrelson, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Alex White Plume, Julia Butterfly Hill, Ralph Nader, to name just a few. The second Doc/film in the five part series, ‘Hempsters an American Revolution’, is slated to film Summer of 2015 in tandem with ‘Hempsters Canada Seeds of Growth’. Slated for 2016 are the final two in the series, ‘Hempsters Indigenous Nations and ‘Hempsters World’.Eva is thrilled to be working with Producer Diana Oliver on this Award-Winning project.
While still in college, Eva won a Student Emmy Award for a documentary she Wrote, Produced and Edited on the controversial subject of Teenage Alcoholism, entitled ‘Bring Back the Children’. he later penned a green-themed screenplay for a children’s animated feature entitled, ‘The Innate’; this film was sold to Graz Entertainment. That same drive to create projects of value led her to Bea Fields and Corey Blake, with whom she co-authored EDGE! A Leadership Story (). This narrative non-fiction received critical and popular acclaim and was a Finalist in the National 2008 Best Books Awards. Eva has crafted web and marketing content for some of the most successful product launches and profitable companies on the Internet.
Her interviews on the craft of writing and on successful freelancing have appeared in national newscasts, public podcasts, and the Wall Street Journal (interview from WSJ was later published in Marriages, Families and Relationships: Making Choices in a Diverse Society). A passionate homeschooling/unschooling advocate, Eva and her two sons registered as their own private school, forging a unique curriculum through high school. Her younger son is studying music production. Her older son has been a volunteer firefighter from the ripe old age of 15 and is working toward a career in wildland firefighting as a helicopter pilot.
